FRENCH INTRO 2 EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
In light of the Foreign Languages department’s “No Make-up Policy” related to course assignments (quizzes, tests, etc.), here are 4 optional Extra Credit Assignments offered throughout the semester. These Extra Credit assignments are scattered throughout the semester and should be completed when they are due. If you have any questions, please speak to your instructor.
All activities cover various modes of communication as defined by the World Readiness Standards for Learning Languages, and reinforce the New School educational approach through project-based learning and digital literacy.

Describe a trip that you recently took with your family or friends. Use photograph and describe who was with you, where you went, what you did, what you ate, etc. Use images and sound to give as much information as possible about your trip.

Create a project based on a family photo/video: Describe each member of your family. Describe where they live, what they do, and what they like to do. Do they visit you? Do you visit them? Do you have family plans? Who do you resemble the most? the least?

EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITY 2: UN GUIDE INTÉRACTIF DE MA VILLE FAVORITE:

Go to: Thinglink [Instructions: Thinglink allows you to create a tagged image, video, 360' image or video. Click on START NOW, and log in with Google. Use a picture of your favorite city, upload it on Thinglink , and tag the different elements of the city with a small description.
Create an interactive guide of your favorite city: What is your favorite city? What are the monuments worth visiting and why? What are your favorite restaurants, cafés, shops? Add any other information (places, dates) you think is important to know.

EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITY 4: COMPAREZ LES REPAS FRANÇAIS ET AMÉRICAINS

Go to: FLIPGRID. Open with Google (it is set up to accept your Newschool email. Then click on the green circle and start recording! (3 mns minimum)
Discussion interculturelle: Quelles sont les différences entre les repas français et américains? Commentez sur les différences entre les repas français typiques et les repas américains typiques. (3 mns)
